00 — Chapter zero · the void deck
Joe Lum
A software developer in Singapore, building apps that quietly take the repetitive work off your hands. Raised on void decks and dial-up — scroll down to walk the estate.
Mosaic dragons, worn steps, one long climb.
I grew up in the Singapore heartlands — void decks for hanging out, terrazzo dragon playgrounds for everything else, and a beige desktop humming through the night. The itch was always the same: make the tedious parts disappear.
Today that means shipping apps and automations that give people back their time — from a weekly planner that tames the to-do list to countdowns that keep NSFs sane. Same instinct, better tools. Nothing here is in a hurry.
The kit I build the future with.
Things I’ve shipped after dark.
